This page explains, in plain language, exactly what you're signing up for with LaptopCare, how billing works, and what happens if you want to cancel. Please read it before subscribing. By subscribing to LaptopCare, you agree to these terms.
LaptopCare is a monthly care plan for your laptop, run by Light Ideas Technology ("we", "us", "our"), based in Lagos, Nigeria. Instead of only coming to us when something breaks, you pay a small amount every month and we look after your laptop on an ongoing basis — health checks, cleanups, occasional hands-on servicing, WhatsApp support, and a discount when you do need a repair.
LaptopCare costs ₦5,000 every month. Here is exactly what that covers:
| Service | How often |
|---|---|
| Priority WhatsApp support whenever you have a problem | Unlimited, any time |
| A full health check using our LaptopSeal diagnostic tool, with a report you can see | Once every month |
| Software cleanup & virus removal | Up to 2 times every month |
| Hands-on laptop servicing — opening it up, cleaning the vents and internals | Once every 3 months |
| 15% discount on any repair or upgrade | Ongoing, once your discount is active |
The 15% repair/upgrade discount only starts 30 days after you first subscribe, and is capped at a yearly limit to keep it sustainable — ask us on WhatsApp if you want the exact current cap.
When you subscribe by card, you choose a password at checkout. If you're set up manually (bank transfer), we give you a one-time PIN to sign in with. Either way, you can sign in any time at lightideastechnology.com.ng/laptopcare/login to see your membership status, how many of your monthly services you've used, and when they reset.
To be upfront about the limits of the plan:
"Unlimited" WhatsApp support means unlimited genuine laptop-related questions and troubleshooting — it's not a substitute for a full repair booking, and we reserve the right to ask you to bring the laptop in if a WhatsApp conversation isn't enough to sort out the issue.
We may adjust the price, the included services, or their limits in the future as the plan grows. If we do, we'll update the LaptopCare page and this page with the new terms, and let existing subscribers know. Continuing your subscription after a change means you accept the new terms; you're always free to cancel instead.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Light Ideas Technology is not liable for any loss, damage, cost, or claim arising from decisions you make based on a LaptopCare health check, or from any fault that develops in your laptop after a check or service was carried out. You remain responsible for your own laptop and how you use it.
